Ok, so to avoid any confusion and to help solve many arguments we have written the compelte rules to swingball below. These are the rules that are used when playing regular swingball.
The game starts with one player serving the ball, holding it up in one hand and hitting it with the raquet in the other hand. The second player then has to return the serve simply by hitting the ball back towards the 1st player in the opposite direction.
The object here is to hit the ball in a way that the other player won’t be able to hit it back in the opposite direction, the player who serves has an advantage here as they get the first hit and have more control over the ball at the start of the match.
Players can commit a violation by stepping foot in their opponents half of the pole, by hitting the rope instead of the ball or hitting the ball twice before it has circled the pole or been returned by the opposing player. When a foul or violation happens the games paused for a second and then the ball is returned to the position before the violation, so any wrap arounds that happened after the foul get put back. The player who didn’t commit the foul then gets to serve the ball.
The winner of the game is the player who reaches either the top or the bottom of the wrap around (depends which way you’re hitting the swingball)
It’s as simple as that!
